No-Knead Sourdough

aka the laziest sourdough

  • ~8 oz starter discard*
  • 8 oz water
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 14 oz bread flour

In a big bowl you can cover, stir it all together really well til you get a dough.

Cover, let sit at least overnight.

If you've gotten the proportions exactly right (it'll take some practice) then it won't even stick to the bowl the next day. Fold it a few times in the bowl.

Dump it in a greased 9" cake round or similar. I spray oil the top and cover in saran wrap. Let it rise for 4-6 hours

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees, bake for 25 minutes.

*I feed my starter by putting aside 4 oz, feeding that 4 oz of flour and 4 oz of water. that makes my weekly discard ~ 8 oz.
