Home office update, 2016

This is mostly a listing of the STUFF in my home office, because it always sparks a good conversation on twitter. ;)
The desk itself is a Bamboo Jarvis standing desk - I got several recommends for this brand, and one of the key reasons I chose it was because it goes low enough that my elbows can be in line without having to use a keyboard tray. (I got the wire keepers and they don't play well with the random power strip I have, so they feel useless.) Get the version with the saved height positions - it turns out to be much easier to use a standing desk if you don't have to fiddle with it for that last inch or so every time.
The mat is an Imprint® CumulusPRO Commercial Grade because that's what the Wirecutter told me to get. I have no complaints.
The chair is an Aeron that I got from a previous company that I worked remote for. It's at least 6 years old and is still great.
On the desk - the obvious things are a 13" Macbook Pro, and a Thunderbolt display, both owned by my employer and provided to me for work. Thanks, Big Cartel!
I got a bluetooth speaker (Soundfreaq SFQ-04 Sound Kick) because it's one less thing to plug into on the desk - now that I have a display with built in speakers, I end up using the bluetooth to play music from my phone, rather than having a music setup on my work computer. I got this one ages ago - any bluetooth speaker you like will do.
Other corner holds a Verilux HappyLight because winter in the PNW is brutal. Seems to help.
The keyboard is a Microsoft Natural that is so old that it has a PS/2 connector with a USB adapter. I only recently pulled it out of the garbage pile at my boyfriend's office. I'm interested in trying something similar but with the fully split board - letting the hands move independently.
I don't have anything like my old volume of meetings, but my Plantronics headset still lives there for when I do - a real mic makes all the difference in avoiding background noise!
The notebook is an Ex Libris Anonymous that I picked up at Crafty Wonderland. And a Field Notes from an old XOXO Fest. Science encyclopedia coasters from MeowKapowShop.
Other than the photo-ruining decision that my desk must sit in front of a south-facing window, there's actually a lot more to the office:

Stacks of books and craft supplies, shelf with my ancient but fine printer/scanner/copier (Epson WorkForce 630), the last remaining notes from all those years of grad school. Plants and comfy chair are nice, but realistically I could have an office half this size and barely notice.
